Purenat raises €2 million to scale up industrial production of its air-purifying textile

Oct 7, 2025

Purenat, the Bayonne-based industrial deeptech innovating in indoor-air purification and treatment of atmospheric emissions for industrial environments, has raised €2 million in equity to take a decisive step toward industrial production and the standardization of its patented air-depollution solutions. The round brings together Industrya, Newfund (via its NAEH2/NAEH INNOPY vehicles), Pyrénées Gascogne Développement, WinEquity, and business angels.

Since 2021, the start-up has raised more than €2.9 million previously, including €800k in equity during an initial round, bringing total funding to €4.9 million. It plans to complement this equity round with bank loans by year-end.

Committed investors

This round brings together Industrya, a Belgian industrial fund supported by John Cockerill; Newfund via its NAEH2/NAEH INNOPY vehicles; Pyrénées Gascogne Développement (Crédit Agricole’s venture arm); WinEquity, which invests in start-ups founded or cofounded by mixed or female teams; and the Adour Business Angels network.

Purenat’s historical business angels joined with new investors under a new vehicle combining Adour Business Angels, Arts et Métiers Business Angels, and Synergence. Skalepark remains a shareholder.

Toward industrialization and European scale-up

Purenat aims to: standardize its depollution system at industrial scale (validated with Clauger and Big Dutchman); transform from start-up to European industrial scale-up in air pollutant and odor management; and move from advanced prototype to finalized, massproducible product.

Following its selection by TechFounders (Munich) and the rollout of pilot projects, Purenat confirms its European ambitions through partnerships and pilot programs with European companies.

Investor statements

We identified in Purenat a real ability to understand market needs and to respond with particularly relevant technical and industrial solutions,” says Thibaud Le Séguillon, CEO of Industrya.

We are proud to have supported the Purenat adventure from its beginnings and are pleased to participate in its next stage of development,” notes Adour Business Angels.

We committed to supporting Purenat from its first round and continue to accompany it in the industrial development phase,” confirm Arts et Métiers Business Angels.

We were won over by this promising start-up, led by an all-female management team, which embodies innovation in service of impact. Purenat is developing a breakthrough technology that will revolutionize the management of airborne pollutants—today in industry, and tomorrow in our homes,” adds WinEquity.

Pyrénées Gascogne Développement is delighted to support Purenat, a Bayonne-based company led by Natacha Kinadjian Caplat and Manon Vaillant, in a new chapter of their development. Beyond the investment, this demonstrates Crédit Agricole Pyrénées Gascogne’s commitment to the environmental and climate transition.

Strategic support

Purenat was advised by Maître Claire Champion (Partner) and Jorel Weber (lawyer, DS Avocats) for negotiating and drafting the shareholder agreements, as well as by ADI Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with personalized support from Charlotte Chanet for structuring and executing the financing round.

About Purenat

Purenat is an industrial deeptech start-up founded in 2020 by Natacha Kinadjian Caplat, together with Manon Vaillant. Based on a patented biomimetic material, it has developed the first textile on the market capable of filtering and destroying organic air pollutants— 100% sustainable and integrable into many types of closed installations.

The company has been marketing pilot demonstrators to industrial players since early 2024 and plans to commercialize its innovative textile through integrators such as filter manufacturers, HVAC and industrial air-treatment system providers.

Based in Bayonne, the company is incubated by the Basque Country Agglomeration at the Technocité incubator, completed the SATT Aquitaine Sciences Transfert program, and joined the CNRS RISE support program. Purenat is supported by ADEME, ADI Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, and is part of FrenchTech Pays Basque and Bpifrance’s Coq Vert community.
