Liège-based startup Get Your Way ensures medication traceability in Belgian hospitals.

Mar 12, 2026

Specializing in securing the logistics of hospital pharmacies, the Liège-based startup Get Your Way has secured a major framework agreement with the purchasing group MercurHosp. The objective is to deploy its solution—already implemented in several hospitals in Wallonia—across the wider healthcare sector.

This milestone marks an important step in the startup’s growth. Get Your Way is supported in its strategic development by the Walloon technology accelerator IGNITY, whose mission is to help internationalize innovations emerging from the Walloon ecosystem. The startup is notably funded by Industrya and Noshaq.

A concrete response to a public health challenge

Since the European regulation on medicine traceability came into force in 2020, hospitals must be able to precisely identify every product delivered to patients—down to the individual tablet: its origin, batch number, and time of distribution.

While this regulation strengthens patient safety, implementing it represents a major logistical challenge for hospital pharmacies. In a hospital such as the CHR de la Citadelle in Liège, for example (900 beds across three sites), nearly 700,000 distribution records per year must be processed—around 2,000 daily preparations that must be checked and documented.

Implementing this requirement is often difficult with existing solutions without investing in heavy automation, which can require several years of work and several million euros in investment. With Get Your Way’s technology, traceability is digitized in a pragmatic, fast, and user-friendly way—without imposing complex processes on pharmacy teams.

A digital solution that tracks medications at the pharmacist’s wrist

Get Your Way offers a solution composed of two elements:

  • Picking Pilot, a platform that enables pharmacists to manage their logistical operations with precision
  • aRdent ScanDisplay, an ergonomic wrist-worn scanning system that guides operators during preparation

With each scan, the product is verified and the batch number is automatically recorded. If the wrong product is scanned, an immediate alert allows the error to be corrected before it leaves the pharmacy.

“The results speak for themselves after 15 months of use at the Citadelle: **94% of medications are now traceable (compared to 0% before), and the error rate—already very low—has been reduced sixfold. All of this without additional workload for staff.”

Blaise Delhauteur, Chief Pharmacist, CHR Citadelle of Liège

Already deployed in major French-speaking Belgian hospitals

Get Your Way is currently deployed in several major institutions for distribution traceability, including:

  • CHR de la Citadelle in Liège
  • CHU Namur – Mont-Godinne site
  • CHS L’Accueil and Petit Bourgogne of IsoSL
  • CH de Mouscron

Other hospitals also use Get Your Way solutions for additional logistical needs such as goods reception and inventory management, including the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc and CHU Brugmann in Brussels.

With this new framework agreement, the solution is expected to be deployed in at least four additional hospitals.

Target for 2026: 10 new hospitals in Belgium and expansion into France

Building on this momentum, Get Your Way plans to accelerate its development by onboarding 10 new Belgian hospitals by 2026, while expanding into Luxembourg and France.

“Belgium has around 100 hospitals. In France, there are more than 2,000 hospital pharmacies whose work we aim to simplify and secure. It’s a specialized market—and that’s exactly where we want to be. Our ambition is European.”
